KleverKey knob cylinder KK2120
The knob cylinder is simply installed in the door instead of the mechanical cylinder. The installation is quickly done and uncomplicated.
Advantages
- Very easy installation (approx. 30min) by replacing the mechanical cylinder (installation instructions and video)
- Can be installed absolutely wirelessly thanks to radio and battery operation. Battery (runtime up to 1.5 years) can be changed from the outside
- Door is secured via the door bolt (as with the conventional cylinder)
Disadvantages
- After authentication via smartcard or app, the user must turn the cylinder to unlock the door and then press the door handle. The door is locked in the same way.

Door handle KK2172 | Door fitting KK2174 |
The door handle or door fitting is installed as a replacement of a conventional mechanical handle/fitting. Usually, an electronic handle is installed on one side only; a suitable mechanical handle is installed on the other side of the door. This is important in order to be able to exit the building quickly in case of fire hazard.
Advantages
- Optionally, a mechanical key can still be used (e.g. as an emergency opening)
- Easy installation (installation instructions and video)
- Can be installed absolutely wirelessly thanks to radio and battery operation. Battery (runtime up to 1.5 years) can be changed from the outside
- Intuitive operation: After authentication via smartcard or app, the user can simply press the door handle to open the door. After closing the door, the door is closed via the door latch
- Many different designs (lever handle L-shape, U-shape, fitting wide, narrow, short, etc.)
Disadvantages
- In combination with a conventional lock, the door is only locked via the door latch (often sufficient for interiors). By using a self-locking panic lock, the door can be locked automatically via the door latch when closing the door.
