The following article shows the functionality (operation) of the various KleverKey locks by means of videos:
- Knob Cylinder KK2120
- Door handle KK2172 with standard mortise lock
- Door handle/fitting KK2172/74 with self-locking motise lock
Knob cylinder KK2120
- The knob cylinder is installed instead of the mechanical cylinder
- User authorizes with app or card and actively turns the knob to unlock or lock the door. If not authorized, the knob turns "empty" and opening is not possible
- The knob either disengages after e.g. 5sec (automatic mode) or remains engaged until manually disengaged (office mode). The knob can optionally be coupled and uncoupled time-controlled (e.g. 08.00 on and 17.00 off).
- Very simple conversion possible in a few minutes
- Can always be unlocked from the inside via the mech. knob (optionally also possible electronically on both sides)
- The mechanical key can no longer be used
- Depending on the door situation, the user must actively lock the door when leaving the building
(Video subtitles in German)
Door handle KK2172 with standard mortise lock
- The lever handle or fitting is installed in place of the existing mech. lever handle/fitting
- User authorizes with app or card and presses down on the lever handle to open the door. If non-authorized, one presses "into the void" and an opening is not possible
- The door handle/fitting either disengages after e.g. 5sec (automatic mode) or remains engaged until you disengage manually again (office mode). The door handle can optionally be coupled and uncoupled time-controlled (e.g. 08.00 on and 17.00 off).
- Simple conversion - holes may have to be drilled if different from standard (see installation instructions)
- A pair of handles is always supplied. Outside electronic, inside mechanical. This means that it is always possible to reach the outside from the inside (optional electronic on both sides).
- The mechanical key can still be used
- The door is always secured by the latch. For outside doors or higher security requirements and securing the door with a bolt, a self-locking mortise lock should be combined
