If a gateway is to be connected to a new WiFi network or a new password is to be set by changing the network password, this can be done using the following instructions.
Note:
New WiFi data can only be set by an administrator of the account using the KleverKey app.
- Delete WiFi data in the gateway. Before new data can be set, the existing WiFi data must be deleted in the gateway. To do this, press the hole (1) at the bottom of the gateway with a paper clip for 5 seconds until the gateway LED (2) flashes briefly blue. Caution: Please press for less than 10 seconds, otherwise all settings will be deleted from the gateway (including the assignment of the locks). The gateway will then flash briefly in different colors and then continuously blue.
- Log in to the KleverKey app as an administrator and then tap the account icon in the upper right corner. Then search for and select the “Gateways” item in the list. If there is no “Gateways” entry, the logged-in user is probably not an administrator.
- Then select the gateway. To update the WiFi data in the gateway, the gateway must be connected to the power supply (and flashing blue), Bluetooth must be activated in the KleverKey app and the smartphone must be close to the gateway
- Enter the new WiFi data under Network Name/SSID and Password. Important: A 2.4 GHz network must be selected.
- Click Save and check whether the LED on the gateway is flashing green.
If the LED is not flashing green, the process can be repeated. Further information on troubleshooting can be found here: Link
