If the lock flashes green after authorization using a card, chip or smartphone, a noise is heard and you then press "into the void", the following steps can remedy the situation.
In these cases, the electronic clutch cannot engage properly, which is due to the following causes in descending order of probability:
- Due to material expansion (e.g. door leaf), the installation is no longer 100% optimal. Removing the lever handle and refitting it can remedy the situation. Please use the following instructions and do not overtighten the screws: Mounting lever handle KK2172/KK2174
- The holes are too small and the square spindle is therefore pressed in one direction, which can make it difficult to engage cleanly. Remedy: Widen the holes slightly with an 8mm drill bit so that the screws have more play (ideally 8.5mm).
- The holes have been drilled at a slight angle. Help: Widen the holes slightly
- The outside lever handle and the inside lever handle are not parallel to each other (e.g. this can happen with sheet metal doors). Check whether this can be corrected.
- The inside lever handle points slightly upwards/downwards and therefore pushes the square into a position where it is not possible to engage cleanly. Test: Remove the inside handle and then test the electronic handle. If this works, the inside handle must be replaced or refitted. The square side length (e.g. 8mm) may not match the follower of the mortise lock (e.g. 9mm). Remedy: Use 9mm square or adapter sleeve
- The coupling of the lever handle is defective. Remedy: Replace the electronic door handle. Please contact KleverKey support (support@kleverkey.com)
