The battery prediction feature (BETA) enables a more accurate prediction of the battery life in KleverKey locks.
In addition to measuring the voltage of a battery in different phases (idle, under load), additional criteria are now also taken into account:
- Temperature (a battery cannot reach its full capacity at low temperatures)
- Number of activations per week
- Days since the last battery change
This information is used to calculate a forecast and generate an event if a battery change is recommended.
An administrator can view the warning in the portal:
In addition, an event is generated and the admin has the option of receiving emails about these events under Account->Notifications (sending emails is currently disabled by default).
